We would like to extend a thank you to Owens Corning for providing us with foam that has become the core material for our fiberglass hull! More pictures from the construction process will soon be posted to give more details to our construction process.

Wednesday, January 2nd marked the beginning of construction. The team began by printing out the section drawings of the hull forms and planning the most efficient way to cut the forms from plywood.
Over the next few days the team cuts the shapes out of the plywood and formed the plugs that the hull shapes will be built around. The next step is to take the foam that will act as the core material of the boat and form it to the plugs to make the hulls and then cover it in fiberglass. Notice that there are two hull plugs, this will be the basis for our radically new catamaran style boat.
